Thackray Williams’ win British Wills and Probate Awards

The Private Client expertise of leading Kent and London law firm Thackray Williams has been recognised in the British Wills and Probate Awards 2025 following a successful year for the firms' Private Client team.

The Private Client team won the Tax & Trust Team of the Year category, while solicitor Kamran Chughtai, who qualified last year after joining Thackray Williams as a trainee, was highly commended as One to Watch Practitioner of the Year.   The team were also finalists in the category Probate Provider of the Year – South.

“I am hugely proud of the team for winning this deserved accolade,” commented Partner Elliot Lewis, who leads the Private Client team. “The judges recognised our expertise in providing effective solutions, particularly for high net worth clients with complex financial matters, and our focus on providing exceptional customer service for all our clients across Kent and London which every member of the team upholds.

It's the second year in a row that Thackray Williams has made the finals of the British Wills and Probate Awards. Last year, the team was also shortlisted for Probate Provider of the Year – South, while Nicola Huseyin won Best Private Client Legal Assistant. Three months ago, Katie Martin was named Best Paralegal at the Private Client Modern Law Awards.
