Our private client expertise has been recognised by the judges of the Probate Industry Awards, who have shortlisted Thackray Williams for Probate Law Firm of the Year: Regional, while Senior Associate Solicitor Lee-Ann Diaz has been shortlisted for Probate Lawyer of the Year.

It’s the third year in a row that our private client team has received industry award recognition.

“Making the finals of the Probate Law Firm of the Year: Regional is testimony to the dedication of the whole team in providing expert legal guidance supported by exceptional customer service during what can be a challenging time for families,” says Elliot Lewis, the Head of the Private Client Team.

“I’m thrilled to have made the shortlist for Probate Lawyer of the Year and humbled by the amazing testimonials that my clients provided about how I have supported them – it’s an honour that they put their trust in me and I am to return their faith by providing them with the best experience that I can,” comments Lee-Ann Diaz, who qualified as a solicitor in 2018 and has been promoted twice since joining Thackray Williams three years ago.

Last year, Katie Martin was named Best Paralegal at the Private Client Modern Law Awards, while the firm took the title of Tax & Trust Team of the Year at the British Wills and Probate Awards and Kamran Chughtai was highly commended in the One to Watch Practitioner of the Year category.

The Private Client team were also finalists in the Private Client Modern Law Awards for both the Wills & Probate (16+ solicitors) and the Tax & Trusts categories. Partner Nima Stepney made the shortlist for Lawyer of the Year, Tax & Trusts.

In 2024, Nicola Huseyin took the title Best Private Client Legal Assistant at the British Wills & Probate Awards 2024 for her inspiring leadership of the seven legal assistants in the department.

The Probate Industry Awards 2026 are being held in London on 23 April.
