The latest changes to the amount of compensation employment tribunals can award were laid before parliament last week.
The latest changes to the amount of compensation employment tribunals can award were laid before parliament last week. The changes are linked to inflation and are set out in the Employment Rights (Increase of Limits) Order 2016. The changes will come into effect from 6 April 2016.

For dismissals post 6 April 2016:
- A week’s pay (used for calculation of statutory redundancy pay and the unfair dismissal basic award) will increase from £475 to £479
- The maximum compensatory award for an unfair dismissal will increase from £78,335 to £78,962
