Thackray Williams joins 'Law Beats Cancer'

The initiative has launched with strong backing from across the legal sector, bringing together solicitors, barristers, and in-house legal teams across the country. It does not belong to any one firm; nor is it a one-off campaign, it belongs to the entire profession, giving us an opportunity to come together as a community to support Cancer Research UK.

By leveraging thought leadership, networking, challenges, and collaborative events, Law Beats Cancer aims to build lasting momentum and show what our profession can achieve when we act as a unified force for good.

With nearly 1 in 2 people in the UK set to be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime, the urgency to fund research has never been higher.

Thanks to decades of scientific breakthroughs, cancer survival rates in the UK have doubled. However, the fight is far from over. Due to a lack of funding, Cancer Research UK is currently forced to turn down world-class, promising research projects every single year.

Law Beats Cancer was specifically established to help close that funding gap allowing more life-saving cancer research to take place. 

As part of our commitment, teams across our offices will be taking part in joint events, awareness campaigns, and fundraising efforts over the coming months.
