Well done to TW Secretary Ellen Gauntlett, who was awarded the Met’s High Commendation yesterday, alongside her boyfriend, Justin, for their assistance helping the injured policemen in the London Bridge attacks earlier this year.
Ellen and Justin Jones were among 200 people honoured yesterday for showing “exceptional” courage in the face of terror in the attacks at Westminster Bridge, London Bridge and Finsbury Park earlier this year. Of the 200 people honoured, 34 were members of the public, they included bouncer Ozzie Gandaa, 33, and friend Ishmerai Muhammad, 21, who charged the terrorists and threw chairs and glasses, stalling them until police arrived.
Ellen and Justin helped save the life of off-duty Met officer Charlie Guenigault, who was injured after he fought the attackers with his bare hands.
