Siobhan Stirling

Siobhan is Head of Communications at Thackray Williams, she joined the firm in January 2026.
A former journalist and published author, Siobhan is an award-winning communications strategist. After supporting Thackray Williams as an external consultant, Siobhan came in-house in January 2026.
Named ‘Best Woman in PR & Marketing’ at the national Best Businesswomen Awards 2021, in 2023 Siobhan led a campaign that was shortlisted for a SABRE EMEA Award. She has taken titles five years in a row at the Kent Women In Business Awards, including PR & Marketing, Leadership & Management, Employer of the Year, Women’s Champion and Businesswoman of the Year (Over 5 Years).
Siobhan has worked in PR, the media and marketing for more than 30 years. An NCTBJ-qualified journalist and trained video journalist, Siobhan spent nearly 20 years at the BBC as a news reporter, presenter and producer. She has also freelanced for national newspapers (including The Guardian, The Independent and The Daily Mail) and magazines (including parenting, homebuilding and health & wellbeing titles).
She was asked by Practical Parenting to write the book Sleep: helping your child to sleep through the night. Published by Hamlyn, the book was translated into several languages.
Siobhan started her career in the PR department at Aston University, where she honed her ability to turn complex subjects into engaging, accessible copy.
Outside of work, Siobhan has run four marathons, climbed Kilimanjaro and walked the entire South West Coastal Path.
