Simon Slater

Non-Executive Chairman

In a 35 year career, Simon has been involved in shaping some of the UK’s leading professional service firms. He has been at the forefront of transforming successful partnerships into even more successful businesses.

As marketing lead he created and established the global brand for quoted real estate advisory firm DTZ plc in the early 90s (DTZ is now part of Cushman & Wakefield plc).

He then transformed the fortunes of Charles Russell (now Charles Russell Speechlys LLP), providing them with the platform for long-term growth which they sustain to this day.

Simon was a key member of the leadership team which planned and executed the unique seven-way merger to create Eversheds LLP in the year 2000. Eversheds became the UK’s first National law firm.

He also advised on the planning and implementation of the merger to create Ashtons Legal Limited in East Anglia.

He served as non-executive director of accountancy firm PKF Littlejohn LLP and more recently - as chief executive officer of Pemberton Greenish LLP - he negotiated and executed the merger with Cripps LLP where he subsequently served as non-executive director.

Simon also served as non-executive chair of Byfield Consultancy Limited, the premier legal PR firm providing reputation counsel to some of the word’s most successful legal businesses. He remains a senior adviser to the board.

Simon is also senior adviser to brand consultants Bright Space Communications Limited and an investor in The Professional Alternative Group Limited, a digital platform for learning and development and operational best practice for professional service firms.
