We are delighted to announce that Richard Ludlow, Partner in our Dispute Resolution team and Head of Restructuring & Insolvency, has joined the Board of Directors at the Sevenoaks Chamber of Commerce.
This exciting appointment strengthens Thackray Williams’ long-standing relationship with the Chamber and the wider Sevenoaks business community. Over the years, our team members have proudly stepped up into proactive roles, forming a strong foundation that Richard is excited to build upon.
“Other members of the team have previously played proactive roles,” explains Richard. “These have proved invaluable in strengthening the firm’s connections within the local business community. It has also enabled Thackray Williams to help develop that community through relationship building and collaboration.”
The Sevenoaks Chamber of Commerce plays a vital role in giving local businesses a collective voice, offering networking opportunities, and driving economic growth.
Head of Client Experience & Engagement, Katrina Walker, was a board member for two years before being appointed the first lady Chair of the Chamber back in 2021, a position she held for three years before stepping down in 2024.
Litigation Partner and Head of the Sevenoaks office, Andrew Raby, was also on the Board as a Director for six years.
For Richard, this appointment is a meaningful personal milestone, bringing his connection to the Sevenoaks business network full circle. He first began attending Chamber events back in 2018 during his time at a previous local firm. In 2024, Richard joined Thackray Williams, bringing over 20 years of distinguished legal experience - expertise that remains a vital asset to our commercial clients.
Joining the board is the perfect opportunity for him to reinvest that wealth of experience into the fantastic local business community that supports us all.
“I am delighted to be following in my colleagues’ footsteps,” he notes. “I hope to make an equally positive contribution to support local businesses of all shapes and sizes.
Please join us in congratulating Richard on his new appointment!
