As the HR Manager and member of the Management Team for Thackray Williams, Rebecca has a responsibility to staff and Partners. She strives to provide an effective and fairly managed Human Resources service by developing and leading the HR Strategy, in line with the firm’s core values and corporate business plans.
CIPD qualified, Rebecca has a varied HR career including the Prison Service, Border Force, Home Office and a short time in recruitment. She came to work for Thackray Williams in June 2015 from working in the Cabinet Office.
Rebecca’s role is far reaching and can include a range of issues, including health and wellbeing, support over sensitive or difficult issues, coaching and mentoring or for more formal advice and strategic planning. She always aims to provide the level of service and support she would expect to receive herself and takes pride in “going the extra mile”.
Balancing an approachable friendly character with good business acumen and professionalism, Rebecca’s strengths lie in Employment Law, Employee Engagement and Wellbeing and Dispute Resolution. Rebecca enjoys the balance and variety her job brings by getting stuck into operational HR and strategic business planning, along with the professionalism and humour of her colleagues.
When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family (including her ex working Labrador Vinnie), kayaking, long walks, photography, travelling, road trips, cooking and dog friendly pubs!
