We are taking part in this year's Demelza Will Month, which runs throughtout May.
Did you know that if you don't have a Will when you die, your money, property and possessions will be shared out according to the law instead of how you wish. This can mean that those you intended to leave a gift, could end up with nothing.
This year we are taking part in Demelza's Will Month.
Demelza is a children’s hospice charity in the south east of the UK, providing vital care to families across East Sussex, Kent and South East London. Their Will Month campaign run's throughout May, and involves local solicitors across the south east preparing a new Will or updating your existing Will, free of charge in return for a donation to Demelza Hospice Care for Children.
Elliot Lewis, Solicitor at Thackray Williams in Bromley, has recently said “We are extremely pleased to have supported Demelza with Will Writing over the years. As Demelza are a local charity to us, this really helps us to work in the community in which we cover. We know that the income received, really does help Demelza care for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions both now and for years to come. We hope that the campaign is once again successful in raising much needed funds to support this fantastic charity”.

By taking part in Demelza’s Will Writing Month, you are supporting babies, children and young people that may not live a long life to live a full life. Demelza is your charity, not part of the NHS and relies on community generosity. The services provided by Demelza are completely free of charge to families. Your donation will go directly to helping our families from diagnosis, during day to day family life, times of crisis and bereavement. Every year Demelza must raise over £10.5 million to be able to provide care to families in need. Around 16% of this income comes from the generosity of gifts in Wills. Whilst there is no obligation to include a gift in your Will to Demelza, we hope that when making your Will, you may consider doing so.
