It is believed that in Britain 40,000 patients have Poly Implant Prostheses (PIP) implants but the rupture rate of these implants is almost double the rate of those implants made with approved silicone.

It is believed that in Britain 40,000 patients have Poly Implant Prostheses (PIP) implants. PIP implants were manufactured by a French Company that used a silicone produced to be used for computer parts and in mattresses.

As a result the rupture rate of these implants is almost double the rate of those implants made with approved silicone.

Conflicting media and medical reports have left patients feeling confused, if you have PIP implants current advice from the British Association of Aesthetic Surgeons is to have an ultrasound scan to check for implant rupture or irregularities in the silicone. Even if there are no irregularities The Department of Health have now urged those affected to seek legal advice from a solicitor.

If you have concerns about the safety of your implants and want to find out about the possibility of making a claim for compensation please don’t hesitate to contact us, we will be pleased to advise you of your legal rights in regards to removal and replacement of your implants and discuss any possible claim you may have for compensation as a consequence.
