Probate - free initial consultation explained

To ensure that you know how to proceed in what can be a long and initially daunting process we offer a free initial consultation to provide you with some preliminary advice and support.  In this consultation we will be able to provide you with details of the immediate steps that you need to take and explain the process of administering an estate based on the information that you provide to us.  This will include advice on the legal issues, any likely tax implications and the steps that can be taken to mitigate this liability, as well as providing an overview of the responsibilities that are attached to the role of an Executor/Administrator.

Based on this free consultation we can then offer, in the majority of circumstances, a fixed fee to give you complete certainty as to our charges. Our fees are flexible and tailored to the work that you wish us to undertake; this may range from the full administration of the estate to just obtaining the Grant of Probate, but throughout we can make sure that you receive the support that you need at a cost that you are happy with. This would be agreed before the commencement of any work and there would be no ongoing hourly charge, giving you the peace of mind that you can speak to us without being charged more than the fee agreed. It is our philosophy that this promotes better relationships with our clients, working together to ensure that the administration proceeds smoothly and without unnecessary delay.
