Annie is a Solicitor, accredited to the coveted Law Society’s Children Panel. She represents children, either directly or through their court-appointed Guardian. Annie has developed a highly regarded reputation as a Care Lawyer in the South East and Central London. As well as ensuring robust representation of parents when faced with actions against them by the Local Authority, Annie also deals with divorce and separation matters, conducting the majority of her own advocacy at Court. This means her clients retain a high level of input and consistent support from her throughout the duration of their case.
Annie read the Graduate Diploma of Law at The College of Law, Bloomsbury before going on to complete her Diploma in Legal Practice at The College of Law, Guildford. She worked in Brighton as a Paralegal before qualifying as a Solicitor. After joining Thackray Williams in 2012, she developed a particular specialism and passion for all aspects of Child Law and Child Rights.
As a Children’s Lawyer, Annie has a varied case load including representation of parties in Care Proceedings as well as Private Law matters including Adoption, Special Guardianship, Child Arrangements and Domestic Abuse. She has a proven record of working alongside people from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, praised for her pragmatic approach and sensitivity towards clients’ individual needs.
Annie was a key member of the team for ‘Charlie’s Big Challenge’ a National campaign for Women’s Aid, headed up by Charlie Webster. She is also founder of ‘Hello’ brand events management, raising money for charities including the Salvation Army (trafficking wing), Motor Neurone Disease, Many Hopes, Malaria No More and Hope HIV.
Anne started her career on the stage as a classical musician, she graduated Lancaster University with a Bachelor of Music (Hons). She is an accomplished violinist, pianist and singer. When not at work, you will find Annie at the gym or her local pool. She also loves to travel.
Anne has a passion for all aspects of Children Law, from care proceedings to special guardianship, contact, residence and other applications under the Children Act 1989. She is trained in aspects of matrimonial law, from the breakdown of relationships to handling both the finances and children upon separation
Anne is a member of The Law Society's Children Law Accreditation Scheme covering all types of children law work. She has a high level of knowledge, skills, experience and practice in the area of children law.
In 2010, Anne founded HELLO Events which regularly host Charity fundraisers across the City of London.
