Our Core Values

Research has shown that businesses that have formally identified their core values are more successful than those that have not. Our core values were launched in 2009 after a fairly lengthy and in-depth process involving a firm wide questionnaire and a committee of staff volunteers representing all parts and levels of the organisation. The committee worked hard to find the words that define the values we all instinctively know we have within the firm. Our core values have gone to the heart of everything we do at work. They drive and bind our individual and collective behaviour and underpin our decisions and strategies.

 

The TW Pledge

We will work to the following 5 point pledge:

  • Keep you informed with regular progress reports on or ahead of schedule.
  • Reply to all letters, email and telephone messages promptly.
  • Work to the highest standards of our profession to include technical competence, confidentiality, integrity and courtesy.
  • Adopt a clear and uncomplicated approach to explaining our fees so that there will be no unexpected changes.
  • Be mindful of your personal and business goals in order to provide you with a value added service.

 

The Client Listening Programme

Our client feedback forms offer clients the opportunity to speak with one of our Partners to raise any concerns about our service. This helps to ensure that our professional standards are being maintained.

Governance

We are members of Law South which has its own risk management team audits of its members every year. These are thorough and painstaking and ensure that Thackray Williams and the other members are fully compliant with all regulations and requirements. Thackray Williams also employs a Risk & Compliance Manager who creates and updates policy. These policies are then placed on the intranet to ensure that all staff are compliant in their daily procedures.

 

Environmental Policy

We are committed to efficient use of resources and protection of the environment. All waste paper is recycled and confidential waste paper is shredded before re-cycling. Our company car scheme was discontinued in 2007 and a Smart car was made available for use as a pool car. We source supplies from recycled materials whenever possible

We offer legal services to business and private clients in the London Borough of Bromley, Kent and beyond, including the towns of Addington, Beckenham, Bexley, Bickley, Biggin Hill, Chislehurst, Crystal PalaceCroydon, Eltham, Hayes, Greenwich, Keston, Orpington, Penge, Petts Wood, Sevenoaks, Shirley, West Wickham and Westerham.
